I've seen you around, posting here and there, and usually we disagree.
But I totally agree with you on this, "We really cannot do anything more horrific to these people than pulling out now."
I'm not in Iraq, and I've never been part of nation-rebuilding. But I have seen the tremendous amount of effort, time, commitment and leadership it takes for even *smallish* projects to get done.
Just the logistics of that is reason enough for me to think pulling out would be leaving the Iraqi people in a mess. Add to that the work of raising up leadership and helping them, and the cries of "Pull out soon!" seem very un-thought-out.
