I'm on a mailing list called "The Weasel Patrol" (The name is in reference to a comic book of the same name from some years back, and not the epithet we've attached to the French in recent months. But the irony is not lost on me.) They started as a gaming/sci-fi/fantasy/Hong Kong cinema/anime talking list. Politics comes up occasionally, though. As it will do from time to time even on a mostly non-political list. But most of them are liberal and I'm one of the only conservatives. It certainly keeps you on your mental toes in a debate when you have to defend your points against the majority in a group like that! Fortunately, we all keep it civil and don't hold our politics against each other (mostly - it gets heated occasionally, but we've all mostly learned when to cool it and back off.)

Anyway - the subject of Howard Dean came up about a week ago. The democrats on the list like him of course. We've even got a Green on the list who is favorable to him. I was keeping mostly silent on the subject (figured my opinion would be pretty obvious, after all) until someone asked - point blank - for opinions, including mine.
