It turns out that Fox News did not threaten to sue The Simpsons. Matt Groening was only kidding, and the show's producers issued an apology.
Now I feel like an idiot for reporting it last week, and not at least couching it in phrases like "the AP says" or somesuch. Anyway, t'ain't true. Alert your friends and family.
