What Are The Odds?

We just ran across these folks: Iraqischools.com, thanks to a guy named Tanker who shot me a note. They have no email address that I could find but I did post a message in their forum. We'd sure like to hook up with them, maybe find some way to help each other or maybe even join forces.

Oh, and get this: The soldier who started their effort goes by the name of "Major Softy." Jeez, can you believe it? I'm already seeing the headline, "Chief Wiggles meets Major Softy." Why not? They're both in Baghdad.

God bless America. :-)

Dean, you are the internet guru and you and your crew can figure how to connect you.

I just spent a lot of time reading the site and realized that it is getting cold and we do need to get socks and shoes over there. They mentioned quantity not quality. And of course jackets. I know we sent flip flops but if we can find retailers online that will help.

There are companies that will help. This is wonderful knowing there are more generous people here in the good old U S A! God Bless America.
MY Hands are taken by rhum. arth. and curling,so i need to rest them. bless you..i b.reading

Hey Dean - shoot me a e-mail, lets see if I can get some of the outdoors stores in my town to donate stuff to help Major Softy's efforts.

Hi all. My name is Kevin, and I'm the acting webmaster for the IraqiSchools.com website. I came across your post here. I'm glad you are helping to spread the word. Yes, names Softy and Wiggles seem too good to be true, but they are! If anyone has a questions about the project, please visit (lots of FAQ and related stuff, plus an active user forum with ideas, discoveries, links, questions and whatnot), or email me at webmaster@iraqischools.com. Thanks!

Sure but he(Maj Softy) is not the solution.Good citizens either didn't or couldn't vote or voted in states that didn't count. The idiots have internet and the ajor and the kids could become a tatget especially if they are seen to be getting US support however well meant.Fix your system. get rid of #@!%s like gwb jnr who cannot think srtaight. He has become even more dangerous now that he is struttingly aware of his power.I have been to the US twice and love the people. The world outside however does not and heaven help us when the targets become real peple just trying to do good and not just symbols like office blocks, embassies or hotels. The US is hated because of its arrogance. This is something not seen within the country but utterly clear to all outside. It simply stated is a product of supporting "american interests" above all else and today that has come to mostly mean corporate profits. Good grief junior himself said bin laden had no connection with Iraq and yet he and his puppy blair are now trying to justify the attack on the basis of fightimg terror when they ignore the miriad resolutions Israel has flouted. I think the Iraq war was stated when Sharon ignored juniors demand that he withdraw from the refugee camps. He had to do something to restore his credibility and Iraq was an ill conceived "easy option". Too late for OOPS now. To many good men have died.
