Fact-Checking Newsweek's Ass

AMCGLTD fact-checks Newsweek.

This is far from the first time these people at Newsweek have been exposed for biased reporting, by the way.

The truth? We're kicking butt and taking names in Iraq, and helping a horribly oppressed people to join the rest of the world in the 21st century--and by any sane measure, the lives if everyday Iraqis are already better than they ever were under Saddam.

Readership and budget of Newsweek: Millions.
Readership and budget of AMCGLTD: probably not quite so much.

Victory: AMCGLTD!

I used to really enjoy Newsweek, which I jumped to when "Time" openly admitted to pursuing a biased reporting agenda. But in the past year or so they've moved slightly to the left of Pravda. The CW watch is just one perpetual excuse to bash Bush. If it wasn't for George Will's columns, it would hardly be worth reading at all.

I have to say that Conventional Wisdom Watch is the best thing about Newsweek. Enjoy reading it every week.

I think that Time and Newsweek have similar ownership [parent company], though separate newsrooms.

I knew there had to be an audience for that gaggle of self-important journalists whose opinions bear no correlative relationship whatsoever to those of the nation as a whole, or even those of anyone "wise" in terms of raw intellectual horsepower.

It's all so clear to me now.

A quick scan of the intro of the article and the post at AMCGLTD is all you need to see to know this "article" is a useless waste of time.

Bechtel is trying to work on one of the main generating stations in Baghdad, but there are serious concerns with asbestos.

Even IF you want to believe Sadam did such a bang up job restoring power after the Gulf War, do you really think he would give a rat's ass about the workers breathing in asbestos and likely dying later ? Yeah, likely.

If we're gonna do it, we're gonna do it right!
