New Toys
The latest version of my favorite web browser, Firebird, is now available. If you haven't tried it yet you should.
The new version of their mail program, Thunderbird, is also now available. It's now my standard mail program. You may want to check it out as well.
Mozilla is great and Windows IE sucks. BIGTIME. Recently, I tried installing the Firebird on my formerly perfectly functioning Compaq Presario - the one I used to write and web with until I assumed control of the husband's Toshiba laptop. I made the mistake of giving our children the desktop Presario.
Now...for some unfathomable reason, IE stalls out regularly on the Presario, freezing the screens, and Windows will not permit me to install Mozilla.
I keep hoping that if I leave it alone, it will be nice the next time I try installing.
I don't imagine that tactic will be of much help.

Oh yes, these two programs completely rock. I've been using it as my default for about two months now.
I will probably end up going over to Firebird/Thunderbird the next few months; I read recently that Mozilla 1.5 is the last major update to that platform, and that future development will focus on Fire/Thunderbird...
The toolbars still seem kinda cartoony to me, tho, and they don't seem to have the customizability that the big ol' Lizard has. Maybe that's in the future. :)
