Hey Kids! It's Steve!

Wrap your head around this: Steve from Blues Clues (replaced a few years ago by Joe) is now an up-and-coming rock star.

He seems to be handling the transition with class and humor, too.

Actually, music is his first love. He's been in a band for a long time. I blogged about it two years ago. I am at the forefront of all things Steve!!!

HOW ON EARTH DID YOU FIND THIS? Aieee. This is worse than when my husband pointed out that "Dorothy" the goldfish on Elmo's World was probably not really a "Dorothy", just one of a tankful of fish they grab when they need to do that segment. Practically disposable. Thats when I started noticing that "Dorothy" did seem to have slightly different sizes and colors, depending on the day. Can you tell I watch too much children's television? But, they don't watch anything I don't watch. You just never know when some material will pop up that needs discussing (like the hurricane that hit Sesame Street and destroyed houses and inspired intense fear of wind in my three year old). And while we're baring our souls, lets be honest: Steve is/was WAY better than Joe.

I was disappointed that Steve did not make his career in children's television. Mister Rogers didn't do too badly for himself.

I'll bet what happened was that Steve took the Blue's gig to earn some cash, thinking it was such a dumb show it wouldn't even last a season, and ended up being stuck there far longer than he wanted to.

No way! No one's ever ahead of me! Remember: DIRAE!

Jerry, you'd win that bet. He's all but said so.
