Yom HaShoah

Today is the day on the Jewish calendar that is now known as Yom HaShoah: the Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Yad Vashem, the Jewish Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' museum in Israel, has lots of information for students and other visitors. It's worth a visit today.

Excellent "Genocide" article, Deane. I took three college level history classes beyond the core requirement because of a fantastic teacher and did not learn 90% of the things you included.

Now I am fully horrified, but I am of the belief that keeping these past memories alive help our bell curve results in the future, esp. when I see a new Neo-Nazi party in "free" Germany that has been gaining momentum since the 1970's and happens to be very efficient at spreading their own, undying propaganda:
The Holocaust is an urban myth.

For cryin' out loud. Shivers me timbers.

Also, nice ink to the Yad Vashem Museum.(Steven Spielberg also has a couple of foundations that have excellent "virtual" tours, research tools, gallery, people locator, etc. Top rate.)

Good work, Mr. Esme.
