Rimshot!

Line of the week comes from Jed Babbin, former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense:

Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. You just leave a lot of useless, noisy baggage behind.
As stated on last night's Hardball with Chris Matthews.

And while you're chuckling, go read this, which won't make you laugh, but did put a lump in this Texan's throat.

Legend has it that when Charles de Gaulle threatened to kick US forces out of France, LBJ (in turn) threatened to exhume the bodies of all the US dead in the Normandy graveyards and bring them home, too.

de Gaulle backed down.
