Cindy McCain Won’t Release Tax Records
She’s being pretty firm about it.
What I suspect here is that she’ll bend if the other side tries to make more than minor hay out of it. I seem to recall that Hillary Clinton did something similar when her husband was running for President the first time in 1992, she was willing to release tax records but only going back something like 7 or 8 years and refused to discuss anything older.
On the other hand it looks fishy that they’re filing separately; if the Senator wanted to hide something, he would be tempted to hide it on his wife’s tax return. I guess we’ll see if the Democrats or the public demand more information.

The title of the story is Cindy McCain Won’t Release Tax Returns, photo series is Power Couples’ Taxes Revealed –therefore didn’t see/expect to see the McCain’s taxes listed. It was jarring somehow after reading the income and tax-bill for the Pres, VP and Obama that the Clinton’s taxes were similarly left out.
If Obama is the candidate running against McCain, I’ll be voting for McCain even if someone can show that he and his wife are dealing with the IRS sort of like Al Capone did before they sent him to Alcatraz in the 1930s.
