Al Gore on global warming skeptics:

“I think that those people are in such a tiny, tiny minority now with their point of view, they’re almost like the ones who still believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the world is flat,” says Gore

But are they crazier than people who say China will be uninhabitable in 32 years and the Chinese are preparing to migrate to Africa?

 I link, you decide!

He sure has become the master of the Big Lie.

Gore is a fool. Whenever a person uses the “flat earther” retort, it means they lack evidence.

Global warming is mostly bullshit, Gore is not a scientist, his Nobel Prize is pure agenda-driven propaganda, and, who knows, mebbe if he plays his cards right, he can end up with the Dem nomination this Fall!

Good God. Did you read some of the comments on the CBS site?

Apparently, one must vote Republican, thump your Bible and live in the South in order to question the anthropogenic CO2 crowd.

One guy even brags about knowing what simian means. Such elusive knowledge must be the exclusive domain of liberals!

Holy Moly.

Back when I was a Republican, I swear to God that I knew what simian meant. I learned that word by watching Planet of The Apes.

Anyway, one the biggest reasons that I enjoy Dean’s World is the seeming (usually anyway) absence of shrill and ignorant banter that occupies most blogs.

Let’s all pat ourselves on our backs. We deserve it.

There is a difference in denying that humans have a role to play in carbon dioxide levels, and in being skeptical about the long chain of implausible connections that are supposed to lead to anthropogenic global warming. But Al Gore can’t see that difference because he does not realize that the “science” of the connection between CO2 and greenhouse effects is tenuous at best, and laughable at worst.

Global Warming zealots will cling to their dogma until there is no way to deny that the earth is not roasting, the seas are not flooding the world and the ice caps are not melting.

Every single bit of data that they can use to “prove” their point will be zeroed in on and inflated to incredible levels, while every single bit of data that challenges that view will be ignored, rationalized away or called falsification of data.

This is not, and has never been, a scientific debate. It is a crusade cast in moral tones for the specific purpose of reigning in man’s technology and impact on the planet.

I am actually sympathetic to the goal of reducing human impact on the planet. But I don’t think you get to the truth by following a lie.

It’s been ten years since we’ve seen any sort of increase in temperatures. In fact they have been falling for the past few years. I am guessing it will take another ten years of cooling before the least invested zealots begin to leave the movement. People like Al Gore will never leave it, they have invested too much of their emotion and psyche into it.

And that’s why they deride skeptics in the same sort of terms as religious zealots. In their minds you HAVE to be a fool to doubt them. Because they have UNIVERSAL TRUTH AND GOODNESS on their side. So if you disagree, you aren’t just wrong, you are evil.

In other words, fairly typical liberal attitudes, but inflated to a grand scale.

CosmicConservative’s last blog post..Yep, that’s me, the old ?Flat-earther??
